Anneli Meyer Korn, Senior Warden

Contact Annelie

Anneli Meyer Korn grew up in Litchfield, Connecticut (where her mother still lives) and attended St. Michael’s Litchfield, where she fell in love with the Episcopal Church; she sang in the choir and was an acolyte. In her last year of high school, she visited the San Francisco Bay Area and fell in love with place, so moved there permanently after living in Stockholm, Sweden for a year as an exchange student. Due to her husband Peter’s work at Amazon, they moved to Seattle in May of 2018; they live in the downtown area with their two dogs, Ebi and Dougal.

Anneli’s first career was in medicine- as a nurse, a veterinary health technician, and as a medical office coordinator. In 1997 she started her second career as a technical writer, eventually becoming a Communications Department manager before leaving the field in 2002. While her younger son Alan was attending Orion Academy, a high school focused on learning differences, she began to learn about nonprofit management. From 2010 to 2021, Anneli served on the board of directors for Clausen House, a multi service agency in Oakland, California. She is a member of the Nonprofit Leader Lab.

Anneli has a small business selling antiques through a multivendor store in Alameda, CA. She loves music, occasionally sings with the Amazon choir, and is trying to learn to play the harp.
