Christian Education

Adult Education takes place on a regular basis in a variety of ways at St. Peter’s. We offer different formation classes throughout the church year, both on Sunday mornings following church, as well as at other times, including in person as well as over Zoom.

Recently, we have explored a variety of topics together, including spiritual practices like Sabbath rest, faith and political life, the Episcopal tradition, faith and the body, death and dying, pilgrimage and many more. Many members of St. Peter’s have participated in Sacred Ground, a dialogue series on race, grounded in faith. We offer a regular catechumenate class for people discerning Baptism, Confirmation or Reception in The Episcopal Church. For more information about how to take part, please contact us.

Easter Formation
April 14 – May 12, 2024
12:15pm – 1:15pm

We will be doing a Bible Study on the book of Acts – the source of our first readings in the lectionary for the season of Easter. The first two weeks will focus on an introduction to the Acts of the Apostles, interpretive approaches, and narrative arc. In the final three weeks, we will look at particular passages to discover the theological emphases and aims of the writer.

All are welcome, even if you’ve not been able to attend the previous sessions.
