April 15th & 29th
May 13th & 27th
When does Wiggle Worship take place? It takes place in the Gym (Upper Parish Hall) during the first half of the 10:30 a.m. service. Before going to Wiggle Worship, children gather in church for a brief word of inspiration from our priest or another member of the community. They return to church during the Peace for the Eucharist.
What happens at Wiggle Worship? Wiggle Worship mirrors the first half of the service in church (what is called the “Liturgy of the Word”). It is grounded in Godly Play, a Montessori-based program that helps children to explore their faith through story, to gain religious language and to enhance their spiritual experience though wonder and play. Wiggle Worship is grounded in the idea that for the people of God—including our children—worship is the most important thing we do together.
What ages are welcome at Wiggle Worship? All ages. Although Wiggle Worship was created with the needs of younger children in mind, it is designed to be meaningful for children of all ages. Older children are especially welcome to assist as helpers.
For more information, contact our Wiggle Worship Coordinator Michael Lott.
